The model W + W received the prestigious Design Plus award (ISH 2009 in Frankfurt) and Designpreis Deutschland 2010. W + W has been selected for the exhibition which ICEX will perform at the Embassy of Spain in Tokyo on the occasion of the Tokyo Design Week.

Roca launches W + W (washbasin + watercloset), an innovative and creative concept that unites, in one piece, two essential elements in any area of bathroom: the toilet and sink. Thus, saving you space in smaller bathrooms without compromising design, providing, in turn, their installation in both existing space or new construction. This is ideal for both public and private spaces, homes or offices.
Besides the clear benefit level of comfort and functionality, the combination of toilet and sink in one piece can implement new technology and sustainable Rock “Water recycling, water conservation a way of reducing their consumption by 25% and so help protect the environment.

W + W reuses the water used in the sink to fill the toilet, and has an automatic cleaning system that prevents odors and bacteria in the water, ensuring excellent quality.
This unique concept, developed by the Innovation Lab, a research and development center under the Rock Design Center, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti (Battiston Architects), and is the logical choice if the priorities are innovation, design and sustainability. W + W received the Design Plus Award at ISH 2009 in Frankfurt Fair, a competition held every two years and promoted by the Department of Design and the German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. An international jury composed of personalities from the world of design is responsible for awarding the most innovative designs that are both environmentally friendly.
It has also recently received the prestigious Design Prize Deutschland 2010, Germany’s highest honor in the field of design.
The interest generated has also resulted in the W + W will be present at the exhibition “Dreams of a tap” on the Fine Arts in Madrid, which aims to bring different views about how to decipher the relationship between water and design. In addition, the project has been selected for the exhibition which ICEX will perform at the Embassy of Spain in Tokyo, during the Tokyo Design Week.
